For hearing loss, it is best to start treatment as soon as symptoms of ear fullness or dizziness occur, if possible, on that day.

This man has been exposed to loud noise for several years.
So, his hearing would have been damaged, especially in the high-frequency area, at 4kHz.
That’s why he always had tinnitus.

On the other hand, ear fullness and dizziness might be caused by “sudden hearing loss” in the low-frequency area.
If you treat it quickly, you can recover completely.
If the treatment is delayed for more than a week, the hearing would be recovered very slowly even after treatment.​

Fortunately, he came to my office right after getting his symptoms.

This pre-treatment hearing test shows that he has hearing loss in both low and high-frequency areas. (The graph is under 20dB.)

High-frequency areas show ‘noise-induced hearing loss’ caused by exposure to noise from years ago.
The low-frequency areas show ‘sudden hearing loss’ that happened at this time.

We injected PRP using ShimSPOT into his middle ear to regenerate his damaged inner ear cells.
You can see the blue graph is lifted in the low-frequency area(from 50dB to 35dB) , which means he has recovered from sudden hearing loss.
