Olfactory cell regeneration therapy

         The olfactory cells are located in the upper region of the nasal cavity. When  damage occurs in the olfactory cells, it can cause a reduced sense of smell. There are two common causes of damage to olfactory cells;

Firstly, resulting from having a cold, secondly, a blocked nose by cysts and rhinitis. For the first case, we inject a dose of drugs that can retrieve the function of olfactory cells and regenerative factors directly into the olfactory mucosa where cells are located inside of the nasal cavity. For the second case, we first use radiofrequency therapy to treat the rhinitis and cysts, and then conduct cell regenerative treatment as ashown in the first case.

The treatment time including Radiofrequency therapy lasts for 5-15 minutes and the time needed in the clinic for the whole procedure will take about 30-40 minutes.

Statistically the patients show about an 80% improvement in olfactory function. This is the unique olfactory cell regenerative therapy in South Korea.
